Description

Native along streams in N. Mx, Az N into Canada at elevations 3500-10000'. Suckers freely forming dense thickets 3-5'. Is aggressive. Fast and long lived. Deciduous. Requires ample moisture to thrive. Performs well in light shade. Green compound leaves, small spines, fragrant pink flowers in spring. Birds are attracted by fruit.
